The BB102.01.02 Training Breakaway Basketball Rim STD is designed for indoor basketball courts, school sports halls, basketball academies, training centres and multi-purpose sports facilities. The rim is manufactured from a 20 mm solid steel rod and has an official internal diameter of 450 mm. This durable construction is designed to withstand intensive indoor use while providing consistent performance throughout basketball training sessions.

The integrated spring mechanism has a factory-set breakaway force of 800 N. When sufficient force is applied, the rim deflects to help reduce the load transferred to the basketball backboard and supporting structure. After the load is removed, the mechanism returns the rim to its playing position.

The rim has been tested for static load resistance up to 2400 N in accordance with EN 1270:2006. This confirms its suitability for training installations where reliable performance and compliance with recognised European basketball equipment requirements are essential.

A hookless 12-point net attachment system eliminates traditional exposed metal hooks. The basketball net is fixed using an internal galvanized rod threaded through the net sleeves, creating an even and secure connection around the rim while improving player safety.

The mounting plate follows the EN 1270 installation pattern, with mounting holes arranged at 110 × 90 mm spacing and a diameter of 12.5 mm. This standardised layout allows the rim to be mounted on compatible basketball backboards and reinforced support frames.
